Greece is a well-established destination for fertility treatment. Medically assisted reproduction units are licensed and inspected by the National Authority of Medically Assisted Reproduction (EAIYA), which publishes a public register of licensed units.
How care is organised
Greece is a well-established destination for fertility treatment, offered through private and public providers. IVF is partially covered under statutory health insurance (EOPYY), subject to eligibility rules, age limits, and prior approval, with the number of reimbursed attempts varying. Confirm current entitlements with EOPYY.
Regulation and finding a clinic
The National Authority of Medically Assisted Reproduction (EAIYA) licenses and inspects assisted-reproduction units and cryopreservation banks, and publishes a public register of licensed units that you can use to check a clinic. The framework is set by Laws 3089/2002 and 3305/2005 and later amendments.
